Director
ThereFor Pty Ltd
Robert Black, founder and chief geek at ThereFor is a graphic designer and web developer. Gadget prone to the dismay of friends and family, Robert has a Bachelor of Design (Graphic) from the National School of Design at Swinburne University.
Upon leaving school Robert was forced at gunpoint by his parents into studying engineering and then computer science. This was followed by a 3 year stint in IT Services at the University of Tasmania, within the Information Systems Group. It was during this time he discovered a passion for design and began working for various companies as a freelance designer, which in turn led to him undertaking a degree in design.
Robert has designed a slew of corporate communications, websites, visual identities, logos, and books, for a wide array of clients (Some names that you may recognise: Australia Post, Avalon Airport, Boston Consulting Group, CRT Group, Linfox, Oxford University Press. See Clients for a longer list)
In the past Robert has been a councillor and vice-president in the Victorian chapter of the Australian Graphic Design Association, and was national developer and webmaster of the association for 11 years.
